The delivery process is where this company struggles. I scheduled a delivery for Sunday and was given NO time frame what so ever. Not that I even cared, but the delivery men told me that they would not be to my APT until 11 pm at night (on a SUNDAY)... I mean like I said it didnt matter to me, and i'm happy i got the stuff; but it would have been nice to know at noon or 3pm or 6pm that my item wouldn't be delivered until LATE that night. That is a major problem in their sales process.

I actually thought I had gotten a great deal until I paid for my merchandise and the shenanigans began. I spent 1,000's of dollars in the store on the 4th of July, but when it was time for my furniture to be delivered I was given the run around. I waited for the delivery company to deliver my furniture, just to be told that I had been taken off the delivery list without any notice because one of the items I ordered were broken and I refused to take the next best thing in their inventory. When I spoke to Jessica (who claimed to be the manager), she was rude and outrageously confrontational. She spoke over me, yelled at me, and told me that I would be charged an additional delivery fee because they did not have a portion of my order in stock. She refused to refund the 1,000's I had just spent days before and refused to make any accommodations or exceptions. She continued to push me to settle for the piece of furniture I had previously passed on and when I refused, she became even more rude, insulting me and disconnecting the call while I was still on the line. I have never experienced this type of disservice and I don't have any intentions of shopping there again, and if I do not get my furniture delivered in a timely and mannerable fashion, I will be talking to my bank and taking my business elsewhere.

I would never buy anything from this store they are low down and dirty. I wanted a bedroom set. When I called to pick it up they said it was a mistake this price was for the bed only didn't include the dresser and mirror. Did they just realize this on the day I wanted to pick it up. They need to get rid of that dumb manager. She said everyone make mistakes, but dumb, dumb they don't wait a century. She is as dumb as they come. Will not be doing business or anyone I know

Anyway, I would probably still buy future items from this store. But I also realize that it is ran like a circus and I can't count on them for anything. Still a better option than paying way more elsewhere, in my opinion.

Never again. They’re all helpful until it’s time to get your things delivered. I suggest that if you do buy from this place, to have your own transportation to take your furniture home. Management lied to me about their delivery protocols. Apparently they don’t even have their own truck, & have to share with an Akron location. When I bought my couch, the manager told me that they only have three deliveries on Saturdays and my couch would be arriving no later than 3pm. WRONG. They had TONS of deliveries that day. After going all the way back up to the store on the day of delivery to see what was taking my couch so long, I did still not get my couch until 9pm. Delivery guys were super nice and said there are many issues with what a manager tells customers about delivery services. Don’t have me waiting all day for a couch that you KNOW won’t be mine until late in the evening! Be honest so I don’t waste my time and other people’s times while they house-sit for me! I’m not paying almost $80 just to sit around and wait all day! The delivery fee wasn’t even discounted for my troubles. So far my couch is fine; still not worth being lied to my face after paying all that money for the couch and wasting my entire Saturday. Be loyal to your customers so they can be loyal to you. My first and last time shopping here.

Here's the reality of shopping at American Freight Northfield Ohio - it is worth it, but the process is a bit of a circus. Contrary to one review on here, everytime I have been in this store i NEVER have any sales people bother me. I pretty much never even see any sales people which I enjoy. It seems like no one is trying to screw you to make extra comission or monthly quotas. With that being said, once you find someone to help you, the prices are very reasonable(from my comparisons). I bought a sofa & love seat for 398$ + a 90$ delivery fee.

Great service and great deals. They are a bit pushy but the prices are amazing!
